Douglas Swan & Sons specialise in the cleaning, repair and restoration of all types and sizes of monuments, over the years we have gained a considerable knowledge of the various methods used to clean, repair and refurbish memorials.
We carry out repairs and refurbishment on a regular basis and also share our considerable knowledge by running training courses, during which we demonstrate the various techniques required to bring damaged memorials up to modern standards of safety.
The video shows our staff working in the Old Dalziel Churchyard in North Lanarkshire where a number of monuments which had fallen or were damaged by vandalism, were re erected and re set using traditional methods under the supervision of Historic and Environmental Scotland.
